Sustainable and Transformative Employment Pathways (STEP) Project

The STEP Project is a two-year pilot project by WIRE, supported by the Commonwealth Bank, as part of their Next Chapter program.

The STEP Job Seeker Program supports victim-survivors of family violence to find employment and achieve greater financial wellbeing. Working with job seekers who have experienced family violence, the program supports victim-survivors to build their confidence and skills in job seeking and to prepare to enter paid work.

As part of the STEP project, WIRE is also developing a series of workplace standards and guidance materials to enable employers to use trauma-informed recruitment processes and better support employees who have experienced family violence.
