Volunteer Training & Education Coordinator

The role of the Volunteer Training & Education Coordinator is to deliver and coordinate WIRE’s volunteer training to approximately 50-60 trainees per year and to work with the Service Delivery Manager to transition trainees into the role of telephone support line workers.

Roles and responsibilities

  • The Volunteer Training & Education Coordinator will lead the delivery of WIRE’s internal Volunteer Support Worker Training program and create a learning environment that supports adult learning principles by recognising the diverse and unique learning styles of all learners including learners for which English is a second language.
  • In consultation and collaboration with the Social Enterprise and Training Manager (SETM) and CEO, ensure that WIRE training has consistency across all aspects of WIRE and aligns with WIRE’s values as an intersectional feminist organisation.
  • Work collaboratively with the Service Delivery Manager to establish and implement annual training and volunteer engagement development plan for WIRE Volunteers.
  • Participate in the review, development and operations of the organisation as a member of the staff team.
