WIRE’s Sustainable and Transformative Employment Pathways (STEP) project focused on supporting family violence victim-survivors to secure and maintain employment. The project addressed a key gap in existing job seeker programs, which typically fail to address the unique barriers faced by victim-survivors.

The STEP job seeker project was conducted with three successive annual cohorts, over the three year period from 2021 to 2023. Each cohort participated in a series of online workshops, in-person group sessions and one-on-one sessions with a job coach, implemented over several months.
