WIRE is seeking volunteer financial professionals who are interested in volunteering for our Financial Guidance Clinic in 2025.
The clinic offers WIRE service users a single one-hour free phone consultation with a financial professional.
Common concerns can be issues such as:
• Change of financial circumstances
• Starting to plan for retirement, having children or buying a house
• Recently separated or partnered (not property settlement)
• Managing superannuation
• Understanding what financial options are available, including:
– possible Centrelink payments
– privacy and confidentiality setting up new bank accounts
• Identifying incoming and outgoing cash flow
• Identifying next steps and resources to assist with investing or managing finances
The clinic has run remotely once a month and could be facilitated on a rotating basis depending on availability.
On the day there can be anywhere between 1 and 5 appointments between the hours of 10am-4pm.
There is flexibility around what day the clinic can be held depending on what interested people have availability for.
