Staff /volunteers in these small organisations play critical support roles in their community, often with very little funding, resources, or paid access to professional development. In the wake of the COVID-19 crisis these organisations are recalibrating to continue to support their communities.
What your support could fund
- Approximately $1100 could cover the cost of at least 20 fully-funded places for a half-day Dealing with Difficult Calls training for community leaders who work in phone intake and response.
- Approximately $1800 could cover the cost of at least 20 fully-funded places for community leaders to attend our full-day award-winning Purse Project training, which builds the skills needed to support victim-survivors of family violence to achieve financial wellbeing.
With the funds raised we aim to offer these trainings to community leaders over the next 12 months. In the event that WIRE is not able to provide the volume of training generated through this fundraising campaign we will partner with other organisations who can deliver trainings in these areas.
The costs quoted here are what we have calculated to cover the cost of wages for PD preparation and delivery.
