Why partner with WIRE?
At WIRE, we see our role as initiators and supporters of change. Our services are designed to build capacity. Our research and advocacy is aimed at amplifying the voice of those most impacted. We believe in influencing the systems individuals live in and achieving change by empowering everyone to play a part in building a better society. We have seen and felt the impact of collective action and know that together we can do so much more.
We value and depend on the strong and committed partnerships we foster with individuals, in communities, with businesses, organisations and across systems.
Whether you work in social services sector, are part of a local community organisation, manage your own small business, are part of a large company or are an individual who wants to make change, at WIRE we welcome you to join us so that together we can spark real change.
Here are some of the ways we can work together:
- Volunteering Programs: As an individual, or as part of your workplace you can volunteer with us and support us in delivering services to women and gender-diverse people. Mentoring programs, providing legal or financial advice, working on events and workshops, using your existing skills and experience, or helping with community outreach efforts are a few of these volunteering opportunities.
- Sponsorships and Donations: you can sponsor events like workshops, conferences, or awareness campaigns focused on gender issues. You can support us to develop and deliver training sessions on topics like leadership, financial literacy, or digital skills to help people build their capacity and confidence. You can enable us to reach more women and gender diverse people and assist us to facilitate the change they are looking for.
- Advocacy and Awareness Campaigns: Collaborate on campaigns to raise awareness about gender equality, financial security and issues like gender-based violence. Use joint marketing efforts, public relations campaigns, or social media to amplify the message. Utilise your knowledge, your networks and your community to create the momentum for systemic change and better outcomes for everyone.
