- 3 days per week (22.5 hours per week) contract until June 2026 – potential for extension
- SCHADS Level 7 ($58.23 – $60.66 per hour)

Purpose of Role
As the Manager Finance you will provide strategic and practical oversight of WIRE’s finance, audit, IT and procurement. The role will lead WIRE’s work to ensure financial sustainability and support our impact agenda.
Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the WIRE Senior Leadership Team will work closely and collaboratively to achieve the organisation’s strategic and operational objectives.

The role requires a person with a community heart and financial mind. You will have the ability to think strategically and communicate complex ideas, effectively lead others and build and maintain positive relationships with all staff and stakeholders.
You are a values-driven and collaborative finance leader, confident in dynamic settings. You combine strong technical expertise with strategic thinking and a focus on continuous improvement and are passionate about applying your skills to work that drives social change and gender equity.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Knowledge of and personal commitment to gender equity and intersectional practice
- CPA/ CA qualification or equivalent, with a degree in accounting, finance or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in financial leadership preferably within the not-for-profit sector with knowledge of ACNC regulations, FBT and salary packaging. Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and financial reporting obligations.
- Hands-on experience managing financial operations, including month end activities, regulatory compliance, budgeting and cashflow forecasting and high level proficiency in accounting software (Xero preferable)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide financial support across the organisation
- High-level of computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Teams, Sharepoint, Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) and strong organisational skills.
