WIRE’s Great Debate: “It’s A Rich Man’s World”

WIRE’s Great Debate is returning for its third year, taking over The Capitol in Melbourne’s CBD from 6–8pm on Wednesday 11 March.
Our flagship International Women’s Day event brings gender equity issues to the stage through conversation, humour and community.
This year, we’re turning our attention to money, exploring gender equity through the theme “It’s a rich man’s world” and unpacking the systemic barriers impacting women’s financial security.
Returning as host is acclaimed author and broadcaster Nelly Thomas, joined by a panel of comedians, media personalities and change-makers.
Our 2026 panel includes:
- Janty Blair, comedian
- Annie Louey, comedian
- Bec Goddard, AFLW coach
- Caroline Bowditch
+ more to be announced!
Each year, the Great Debate sparks dialogue, challenges assumptions and leaves audiences inspired.
Save the date, tell your friends, and register for tickets here.
We look forward to seeing you there!
