WIRE’s peer educators, Mabruka and Abir, recently hosted a Cyber Security workshop in Arabic to help women and gender diverse people increase awareness and knowledge of cyber security. Participants learned how to:
- Recognise scams
- Stay safe when making online friends
- Identify tech-based abuse
- Protect themselves while online banking
Practical tips on helping family stay safe online was also shared and discussed among participants. Thank you to @Libyan Women Association for your ongoing support and contribution.
A second workshop is coming in February 2026, where young people and their parents will join the conversation about online safety.
