WIRE has provided support for women and gender diverse people for over 40 years. We are a leading non-profit organisation in advocating for gender equity, economic inclusion and preventing family violence.
We reach thousands of people across Victoria each year and are the first place women and gender diverse people go to for information when they are worried about their finances and future. We listen, respect, respond, support and empower them to connect to the help they need.
WIRE also supports organisations to strengthen and improve their responses and policies to address and respond to economic hardship, distress, gender equity, family violence and financial abuse. Our policy and practice experts have worked with a wide range of organisations to build and strengthen their customer care responses, hardship policies, create safe workplace responses to family violence and improve their social impact and staff well-being.

SERVICES WE OFFER
WIRE can offer you a range of consulting and coaching services, tailored to the needs of your organisation, your staff, and your clients. We work with a range of small to large organisations including social service, finance, insurance, utilities, transport, health services and housing.
Our service offerings include:
- Reviewing internal and external policy, procedures and communications related to family violence and financial vulnerability (customer and client responses)
- Reviewing internal policies and procedures related to family violence as workplace issue (e.g. family violence leave, supporting staff disclosures)
- Reviewing internal policies and procedures related to wellbeing and self-care (particular focus on frontline roles in hardship teams)
- Facilitating engagement of lived experience expert advice on improving policy, practice and service
- Coaching for team-leaders and frontline workers in positive communication skills, de-escalation techniques and navigating challenging conversations
- Development and design of gender equity plans, organisation strategy, audits and assessments
- Supporting organisations to deliver on their regulatory and compliance objectives.
