WIRE is excited to be launching Café, Cash & Chats, a new community based financial wellbeing program for migrant & newly arrived women in the Ballarat and Pyramid Hill areas.
A series of relaxed, café-based sessions where women and gender-diverse individuals can come together to talk about everyday money matters such as budgeting, bills, banks, entitlements & money conversations in a safe, welcoming and culturally respectful space. Sessions will be delivered in small groups and in-language, led by women from local communities who are trained and supported as peer educators.
The program is designed to build practical skills & financial independence, while also strengthening community leadership and connection.
We are currently inviting:
- Women & gender-diverse people who may be interested in attending the sessions
- Community connected women who may like to become Peer Educators
