WIRE Women-Sensitive Practice Training Program - External Training

WIRE can provide training to other support services and help-lines in women-sensitive practice and our well-established model and processes for supporting workers while helping them to open up calls in a way that empowers women.

Building on over 25 years of women specific service development and delivery, the WIRE Women-Sensitive Practice Training Program explores:

  • What it means to work with women within a feminist framework
  • Understanding and exploring how to meet the particular needs of sub-groups
  • Implementing a women-sensitive model of practice
  • Development and application of micro-skills such as reflective listening ... and much more

This course is suitable for anyone who supports women as part of their working life. It can be tailored to particular organisational needs.

Some of our clients have included Alzheimer's Australia Victoria, Dementia Help-line, the Men's Referral Service, the Gay and Lesbian Switchboard, the Australian Services Union, Gamblers Help Northern and the Jewish Taskforce Against Family Violence.

Our expertise lies in developing exceptional learning experiences that are tailored to clients' needs.
