While WIRE receives our main funding from State Government through the Department of Human Services (Child Protection and Family Services) and Office of Women’s Policy, your donations make a difference and enables us to do more.
You can support us by becoming a member or making a donation. By donating to WIRE, you are supporting an organisation that cares deeply about issues affecting women.

Appeals
At WIRE, we have run special appeals in past years to raise money to fund specific projects such as the publication and printing of information sheets available for free to women and the purchase of furniture.
This year we ran a phone room appeal from April to June to raise funds to refurbish our well-worn phone room. This would allow our wonderful telephone support volunteers to have a safer, cleaner and more pleasant environment to work in. To all generous WIRE members, volunteers and supporters who made our appeal a huge success, a big THANK YOU!
You have all helped us raise $4,050.40 for our appeal and our phone volunteers can now look forward to having a better and safer workplace. Many thanks also go to our wonderful supporters (and runners!) who nominated WIRE as their charity of choice in the Melbourne Fin Run on 17th July 2011 and helped with the fundraising.
